66 or 67 Fender
Hi, not sure one way or the other...…….I have a 66 Gto, been fooling around with the gap on my fenders, not sure why one hole would be quite a bit bigger than the other one.
Bad pics, but you can see why the hole on the passenger side could move the fender a little one way or the other...………...the drive side hole looks ok. Just wondering if you guys with a 66, holes the same, or guys with a 67 are the holes slighter bigger than a 66. Thanks Rich |

I have the pax side fender off of my 66 GTO right now and the hole I think you are picturing is exactly round and same size as the driver side if that helps you at all. Only adjustment appears to be the shims needed to space up or down, and the hole is obviously big enough to move lateral around the bolt. Mike Pearson

67 fenders have radiused cutouts, 2, at the wheel well lip for 14 x 7 rally II's. 66's didn't have the cutouts.

Header panel extension on the fender is also much shorter on the '66. Plus you have the wrong bolts in those holes. The washers were bigger on originals.

I'll see if I can get you the Auveco part number. Your local Advance Auto might carry them in bulk. If that's not possible I'll send you some.

There you go. Enough to do both fenders at the back end, top and bottom. |
