Default Question on 70-71 Judge stripe color?

I remember seeing a white judge with black stripes and black wing. IIRC it was in the book, The big little GTO book.
Was there such an option on the 70-71 GTO Judge? Or was it a one of manufacturer car?

Thanks
Tim

The WT7 option provided the black rear spoiler and I believe the default stripe colour was black unless ordered differently.

Something like 15 in 1971 with WT7, around 17(?) in 1970.

51 in '70, 15 in '71.

Normally, white's default stripe color was Yellow-Blue-Red but the option substituted Yellow-Black-Red in its place.

That's for 1970. Not sure if the stripe combos were the same for '71 but the default/substitution circumstance was the same.

Thanks, Diego.

I probably had 17 stuck in mind which is from the convertible 1971 Judges.

I should have looked it up.

Where was the WT7 option to be found for a potential buyer 1969/70?

The Regular Production Option (RPO) code was WT7 for the 70 and 71 model years. Not available in 69.

The package was given code WT7 which appeared as sales code 604 according to the article as linked below.

Fred Simmonds efforts provided some of the information.

Nice, but i would like to see factory ordering information on the WT7 option for 1970 Judge.
Some of them may have been ordered fall 1969?

Interesting info from a production total page:

Nothing showing in the 1970 column?

I don't know when the option was released and/or built, but wouldn't PHS be the answer to someone curious if his car had the option?

Otherwise, your only recourse is the GM Heritage Center. It's possible they have monthlies of the document that John posted, which would show how many were built per month. Give them a call and ask, but be aware that you'll have to pay.

PHS doesn't show that option. (WT7)

The buildsheet if one is found would have iton there if it was optioned that way.

The Canada "Vintage Vehicle Services" did show it on their sheets.
(think that may be how BVZ started checking them)

Their is a thread (or 2) on them here.

Thomas DeMauros book is wrong too about the WT7 option.
There is no such thing as UPC WT7, #604 on Pontiac order form.
As we all know 604 is the heavy seats front&rear option.
From what i´ve seen the WT7 option with black rear wing and black stripes didn´t make it to production.

It would be 605 on build sheet I believe.

604 is a generic type number which in the Tempest/GTO would not have a heavy seats FR & RR but was used for the black spoiler option.
604 was folding rear seat in Firebird I think?

The 601 was for RA I believe which was required to have the 604 black spoiler option.
(could have 601 without 604, but 604 req. 601)

Here's the 1970 info for the WT7 from Fred Simmonds

PS: The 17 referred earlier was probably the 17 455 Judges in 1970.
(too much crap floating around in the skull )

From 71 buildsheet:

Box 60: 604 - HD Seats / Black Foil Stripes
(601 - Hood Inlet)

1970 may have had a later revise on the sheets or dealer had to special order using the UPC - WT7

This is for 1971, not 1970.
For 1971 there is a sales code 604 for WT7 including Rear Decklid Airfoil, Black - w/WT1 and Cameo White only (subsistute Blue aaccent stripe w/Black acc. stripe) (disc. 2/17/71).
For 1970? No such thing....
