Correct fasteners for ‘67 GTO grille emblem
Hi folks,
I bought a nice survivor quality grille emblem for my ‘67 that’s been missing one as long as I’ve owned it. Is there a bracket and speed nuts required to attach it to the grille? Any specs or pics would be great. Thanks! |

1967 GTO Grill emblem (one year only) design.
It is held in place with the two speed nuts, which snug it to the back of the grill mesh. Chris.

Thanks Chris! Is there a washer of any kind backing up the speed nuts? The mesh holes are pretty large so it would seem some sort of washer or bracket would be necessary.

As Chris said, just a speed nut. Correct emblems didn't need (or use) washers.

The two “V” shaped casting at the base of the studs interlock with the wire mesh grill allowing just the speed nut to hold it in place ..... as the Drill Sargent suggest.
That’s why it’s a “one year only” plate. Chris.
