Default 1961 Stock Car Test

Found this article while looking for other Poncho stuff. Nov 22 1961 the factory took 2 Catalinas to Indy for a 24 hour endurance/speed "test". The white door car was called the Enforcer, the other just looked like it was just stock. If you search the title 1961....... you should be able to find the short but interesting article. No video of course, some black and white photos but still damn interesting. Maybe all of you knew about this, it was new to me , again I tried to insert a really neat pic, but the powers that be here at PY Forums don't want me to do that. I have my Cat for sale here, I'll delete that, then I'll try to eliminate my name from the PY roster. I'm old, do not suffer fools gladly.

Reminds me of the '60 Buick 'endurance test' done at Daytona - took a basically stock Invicta coupe and ran 10,000 miles at an average speed of just a tick over 120 MPH. I believe a number of the same NASCAR drivers were there, too.
