This is my intro thread i guess....im from MI, my dads on here as smittyseng but he hardly posts. We worked on the Firebird he bought that he posted about, all summer. I got some updated pics of it too. We replaced the entire fuel system from tank to carb, rebuilt the rear end and put subframe connectors and solid body mounts on it since we got the car. We also fixed a lot of the other million things we found wrong with it. It still has a long way to go, I work on it for free for him and he lets me drive it pretty much when ever i want, its a sweet deal.

I can relate to the perks of helping work on dads car.There was a number of summers that I got to drive his 66 GTO conv. when my car was a over the garage!

They look like the 17 'bullit' style wheels like this seller has;

we didnt put the wheels on it so we dont know exactly what they are. They are 5x4.5 bolt pattern with adapter/spacers though so they definitely are not staying on after the car gets its balls re-installed. If anyone has a close up pic of how the seatbelt guides screw into the seats that would be great. We have the guides but there are no holes in the seat corners where they screw in and I have no idea how they are supposed to be.

I think some new size (17") TORQ-THRUST wheels and modern rubber would complete the look. I really do like the current rims but the spacers are a bad idea with the power that may be in the future for that car. Hint-Hint...........M/T

The wheels are 02-04 17" ford mustang bullit wheels,they came on the car,if it wasn't for the adapters I would probably keep them but we have a old set of american racing cp-200's that are going to go on it this spring. Getting ready to spend money on good cylinder heads then build a decent motor,Smitty
