Two months after getting my T/A, I couldn't bare driving it down the back country roads, so I bought a trashed 72 Toyota p/u. It had one front brake and you had to pull the wheel to the right every time you pressed on the brake. Was my winter beater until after high school, when I upgraded to a mint 70 Chev p/u 6cyl. with 3 ON THE TREE. Wish I had that one back....Traded it on my first new truck, a 1988 Chevy Silverado 4x4 350 5-spd.

My T/A is the first car I bought. My friend owned it. I bought it from him by paying him $100 a week because I was a broke college kid . Final payment just happened to be on my 21st birthday So 21 years later I still have it, and plan to keep it for my daughter. She will turn 2 this year

My son turns 17 next week and my daughter was 19 in February. Funny thing is my daughter shows more interest in classic cars than my son. The hockey playoff race is the only race he is interested in. LOL! I also have a 1975 Formula 400 - 4spd car to be restored after we are finished this one. We are going to have the pair of cars in the brochure. The silver T/A and the Red Formula. This way they will both end up with one.

Well not my first car, but, I have a 78 TA fully loaded I bought with 18,000 miles on it in early '79. It has one rust spot smaller than a dime behind the driver's door. The drivers front fender is a complete rust out. Other than that it is spotless but needs paint. I bought a NOS fender for it about 10 years ago.
My '72 formula I bought in about 1981. The trunk under the package tray where te deckid attaches is really rusty but, I have donor parts.
Funny I bought the formula cause a friend owned it and I always liked the '70 - '73 body style. I knew it was 455 HO cause it had the decal on the original Ram Air air filter with boots, but didnt realize all that went with it like factory alum. Intake and round ports and manifolds. My car was 100% intact when I got it. It still is minus the heat shields and emission stuff.
I was young and stupid.

Not my first new car, but it the first new one that I kept...

Ordered this one when I was still in the Army, took delivery the day after I got out of the service at the PMD Admin Bldg @ Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac, MI.

It was a mileage car, called them courtesy cars back then. My dad drove it to get the mileage on it (I had ordered it through him), and he hated driving 4-speed cars.

Optioned with about everything except A/C, came with Rally II's.

Painted it back in '97, 38,000 miles on it now.

This is my daughters favorite of all the cars, promised it to her when she gets her master's.

This pic was taken at POCI in '05.
