Default Netflix - Is it me??

Everytime I want to watch a title, it says not available for instant viewing. What am I missing? Is there a better service?? Does anyone else feel like the quality of the instant viewing movies is restricted to quite a few unwatchable movies?

I think you can only have 2 receivers running on your account at 1 time.
We have a receiver in the kitchen, living room, rec-room and all three bedrooms and can only watch in 2 rooms at a time.

My biggest problem with Netflix is after having it for a while you end up spending more time searching for a movie. I do watch a lot of foreign movies that normally I wouldn't. Some turn out to be good movies.

We have it too!

None of the good movies are available for the instant streaming. Mostly crappy movies from the 80's and 90's. Every once in a while you get a decent one.

It's pretty good for TV shows that I dont get the chance to watch. They have the whole Season of some TV shows. I like that.

It's just barely worth the $8.99 a month for me.

The streaming movies just plain suck. We only use it so the kids can watch some shows and movies. We have Hulu plus also, and the movie selection is not much better. To get decent movies, you need to have the more expensive DVD/BluRay package via the US mail.

I maybe watch 3 or 4 a month. The not avalible for download will cause me to cancel soon. I don't think I'm alone on this.

I need to get that service. I don't care about movies as much as shows.

having all the newer movies for instant viewing would defeat the purpose of their dvd rental.everyone here are older people that grew up with these type of movies and can find something they like.
whats a waste of money is paying 2x-3x for repetitive local tv programs

i get like up to 48 movies a month rentals plus instant viewing for what local tv programming costs

Never have a problem here with downloads on Netflix, have a 50meg cable setup!
I do however enjoy watching Top Gear..

1. Many internet providers are "Throttling" service, which is restricting how many gigs you can DL at certian times, or total, AND the speed at which you can do it.
In two years you will have to PAY more for speeds enough to stream and play online games.
PONCHO>> ALL the HOGANS HEROES are on You Tube!

Also, so is the Black Sheep Squadron!!

we've had it for almost 2 years now. The streaming selection aint the best by any means. We still enjoy it a few times a month. and its nice to watch some of the tv shows that i havnt kept up with for years.

That's why I cancelled the service. They are pushing hard for streaming, but the selection just isn't worth it for me.

I use the streaming and dvd's. If you watch dvd's and time it right you can have movies 4 days a week and fill in with the streaming . Of course I don't get to watch many dvd's as my sweetie currently is watching ncis from the begining to present, before that The Closer... We have a system... She get's 300 dvd's. I get one. I wish they hadn't went up cause $9 was a better deal but if $11 a month allows one person in my house to be happy. I'll pay it. I sneak in a movie here and there when she works late but don't tell her.

What I was referrig to was not the quality or the ability to watch but the content available.

I guess Im not alone in the overall quality of the content available for imediate viewing. I think Im goning to catch up on some shows (which is great by the way) and then cancel. I know its only $8/mo but if you dont use it.......

I had the same reaction Paul, when it was included with the DVD rental, that was fine, but after they split - I just went with the DVD's - with 2 at a time & can watch 4-5 a week, but usually only see 2.

I got a gift of 6 mo for Christmas.
I have no way of watching streaming video unless I watch thru an 18 inch monitor.
wish I could cash it in as the movie list I saw was disappointing

That's why I keep it! Newer movies are not there. I know this. I love the older shows!

On Demand is way better than a "Que" to get movies. By the time I get to it, I can see maybe 3 movies a month. With the additional cost of the mailer DVD's, I just don't see how it's worth it.
