Default Who still has their first car?

In the final stages of putting it back together. Has been off the road since 2003. Had a leaky exhaust manifold and bolts broke in the head. Pulled motor and one thing lead to another. I know the color is not the stock sterling silver, but i like this one better. Don't ever plan on selling it. 400-4spd car with console delete. Stripped down no options. Just custom interior and AM FM radio. Bought from the original owner back in 1983. Let the snow start melting lol!

First pic before I took it apart. Tore it down completely! Lizard skin inside and out. Coated with ENDURA epoxy black for a finish that will easily come clean at the car wash.

Still have my first car....32+ years.

Nice to see another '75 being restored. I almost went with a color close to that when my car was repainted back in '97.

It's not my first car ,,, But it is my first new Pontiac, which is my Pontiac GTO. ,,, florntine red mattilic with white interior 400 cid. auto with gauges & a dealer installed hood tach. Ralley II's with trim rings, a /m radio P/S P/B extra rear speaker & a white top , & a console, Now it has a 4 spd 461 cid, posi a/m f/m stereo 8-track, snowflake wheels, & a rear wing from a 71 GTO that has been reangled to sit level which look great, (since 1981) & the G/A style tailamps, plus soon to have the G/A style front bumper w/o rub strip & set back so it looks like it should be there. Thanks Rex

My first car was a 75 Base Model Bird turned into a 75 formula - 400 Auto
Right now its more like "firebird shaped rust" than car, I dont know if any 2 parts on it came down the assembly line together anymore, Think Frankenstein but with parts cars.
I still love it.

My second car was a 75 455 T/A Blue on white no options no rust low miles
80's speed parts.........

I still have them both and plan on keeping them as long as I can even if they
ultimately become garage furniture due to gas prices.

Cool thread!

Same here, first NEW car was an '80 SE Turbo. Special ordered it with every option but a stereo & a block heater. Tried to order one of the last 400 stick T/A's in April of '79, but no dice, and all I could find at dealers was 4spd 10ths (NO THANKS). Have the '80 tucked away at the warehouse, its been off the road since '88 & has less than 50K miles

Just kidding, My first car was a Mustang but I didn't have a license to drive it and the motor locked up on it. Ended up junking it.

Nope, met an untimely death in a head on collision. I don't even have my first GTO anymore - sold that last year after 20+ years.
