Question Paging "Goathead", aka Danny Reegan...

The contact info I have for Danny no longer works and since he rarely frequents the Forum I need your help .

We first met Danny, his wife, and Lee his motor builder when we drove our GTO to the 2004 Pontiac Southern Nationals held at the Texas Motorplex track in Ennis TX. We spent several enjoyable evenings together along with racing and showing our cars at the track during the days.

I'm hoping that we might get together at the upcoming POCI International Convention in Ft. Worth that is only two weeks away.

Thanks for your help .

Les,

Fun times back in '04! Last I communicated with Danny, he sold all of his cars and is no longer doing any car stuff, unfortunately. So, unlikely that he will be there.

After a 10 year absence, I rejoined the Pontiac ownership clan last year with a '73 Trans Am Clone. But the car received an engine replacement 3 weeks ago, and I've not been able to get it properly broken-in and tuned due to myself having a partial knee replacement 2 weeks ago. Alas, I will not be able to attend the POCI convention either.

Best wishes, and hopefully we'll be able to meet up on another trip,
Lee

p.s., PM sent to you as well.

Talking

Lee,

Thanks for the quick reply about Danny and you certainly picked a great Pontiac to reenter Pontiac land with. Too bad you can't make it to the Convention this year.

Take good care of that knee and it's great to hear from you .

I talked with Danny yesterday, first time in several years. It sounds like he is doing good. He sold his business and cars, and is now hanging out at the golf course and building golf carts. He said he tried to log in here, not too long ago, but couldn't get logged in, so gave up.

He said to say "hi" to you Les, to Tom "the Hatchet" Vaught, and the rest of the gang :-)

We are planning to meet up next weekend and hang out for a bit.

Danny is a good guy, and missed for sure. Please tell him MaryAnn said hi. I’m happy to hear he is doing well though.

Really hard to believe, but sometimes we just need to move on I guess.

I've had some crazy stuff going on the last few weeks, but finally sync'ed schedules and spent about 4 hours with Danny and Lynnie today!

They are doing good. Danny is building custom "golf carts" as a hobby/part time gig - he lives on Galveston island, and a lot of locals use these carts to get around the island. As expected, Danny's carts have killer sound systems with time taken to run wires inside tubing and frame rails. His current cart project has a better sounding system than any car I've heard in quite awhile!

Nico is about to graduate high school, his little sister Madi is 12. I let Danny know about everyone asking about him, and he said he'll try to log on again sometime soon.

Lee is lying, I am in a Mexican prison for smuggling Pontiac parts across the border. Get out in 6 years though...

Les is lying too, it's impossible to spend an enjoyable with me, not gonna happen....
