'79 Bonneville Brougham (question)
Hi
my name is MADthieu. and i'm a new member here. i registered because i wanted to ask a question. i'm driving a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham. and because i'm not living in the U.S but in Amsterdam (holland/netherlands) it's very hard for me to find any parts. for example: i'm looking for (clean) front. and also, rear bumper. so, my question would b. if any of you might know where or who ??? i could turn to. or maybe one of you knows. if parts from a 79 Gp would fit my car. any other vehicles i could look at for parts ??? please help me !?! so i can keep my car in a good condition. thanks so far ... |

The rear bumpers are prone to rusting out on 77-79s. The 1980 & up models seem to do better.
You might look up Pontiac Heaven as Steve seems to have good Arizona rust free parts, he might have a few 77 & up models. GP parts dont exchange for the body.

Hello from across the big pond!
Very few body parts would interchange from the g-bodys (GP), but the engine area would. If you have the 301 V8 you're pretty much in luck. Some body stuff could come from other B-Bodies (Caprice, Lesabre, etc) stuff like windshield trim. Start checking ebay for parts. I've seen Bonne bumper fillers, grilles, taillights....some NOS even. I like 79 Bonnes....lay back that 60/40 pillow-cushion seat and cruise on down the highway! |

I had a mint 80 Bonnie 4 door, 301 was slow , then developed a rod knock (70K miles, plenty of oil, never lost any)
I had a low mile complete 455, dropped right in, after that, it would Barbe-q the tires.
