Differential Yoke Lengths
I know this sounds stupid, but just double checking since my cars been apart so long. There are two different length axle yokes that fit into the differential. The parts books show the long one on the LH (drivers) side and the shorter one on the RH (Pass) side. Can anyone confirm that's correct before I go ahead and assemble my axles. I don't have the transaxle here or I would just fit check them.

No responses yet so I'm going with what the parts book says. I'll let everyone know how it works out. JK

1963 t/4-t/8 yoke and shield asm. - #5677296 RH. # 5677541 LH
There is only one way they fit correctly. Look at the distance from the differential to the brake backing plate to determine which side requires the longer yoke. |
