Default 295/65 or 315/60/15 on '70 GTO

Hi all,
Looking to fit a 30" rear tire on my GTO. Pretty sure it's been done More than once or twice before, just wondering about potential pitfalls... Yet to do body work and need to do a patch panel in rear seat area so now is the time if modifications need to be done.
I think 295/65/15 should be pretty straight forward but I'd appreciate hearing from those who've been there/done that. Seems plenty of A body bracket cars run them with success.
What does it take? Any info/suggestions appreciated.

I ran N-50's (I think they are 305's?) way back when........it was tight all around and rubbed on the outer lip.
I had them on 15x8 corvette rallies not the best set up but hey I was very young. I had cargo coil springs and shocks with helper coils on them.

Thanks Mrrat1, N50s do look super cool but they're only 27" or so tall. I really need that extra diameter for gear ratio & contact patch. I remember I used to see a black '71 GTO in the 80's with the old M/T Sportsman N50's with the "I" tread pattern. It also had Corvette rally wheels. So cool!
