Back on topic, my brother's 406 with iron d-ports runs 11.4s.
i feel with 460+ci and alum heads high 10s is no big deal these days, low 10s is doing well, high 9s is a good effort, 9.5 or quicker is doing something, low 9 to 8s is will get peoples attention Just my opinion on the subject.
Also a time slips to back up what you say your car runs is helpful. There is at least 1 person on the posted list that didnt run the et listed.

Best my 64 GTO could do years ago with a 400 engine (389 bored .060") was 11.55 at 117.13 mph. Manual trans. Is your brother running a auto? Assume he is. The heads were cast #16 (68 heads) with a 245 cfm mild port.

Yes it's an auto, with 62 heads flowing around 245cfm

I think this is very true. A 10.00 motor combo isn't too hard to make with off the shelf parts available now with a car weighing 3400-3600#, you don't need 400 cfm heads. Course you need a good trans, right converter, gearing etc.

Would E-85 be considered for the naturally aspirated pump gas list?

If you can buy it at a gas station it should count.

Last I saw he says 9.0x. I was going to update him on the last until I saw him saying 156 MPH. Since I can not post on PZ so I could not ask if that was typeo or not.

I think this car deserves some recognition. I met him at Sonoma Raceway. He's a really cool dude. Says he was banned from this site LOL. Anyway, his car is on the left in the picture. It's the silver and red Ventura.

The information I have is the folllowing:

.030 over 455
KRE D-ports ported by SD Performance.
Turbo 350 trans with Coan converter.
3.42 Gears
Solid flat tappet cam (non-roller) in the 270 range @ .050. (Don't have full details)
E-85 pump gas

Doesn't look like a 9 second car but it ran 9.39 @ 140mph. You should should unban him so he can post and share information.

You can see his pass here on the video:

There is no way to calculate HP, unless someone can find out what the race weight with driver is.

Dragncar,
Do you know what his car weights with him in it?

Since you post on PZ. Why don't you ask Gach what his MPH was on that 9.0x run?
