Good Job Jimmy!

Default Div 6

Got a Lucas Oil Series race in div 6. I assume Ryan Warter, Brad Burton, & Don Elgin will be there. But, with all that's happened & is happening, who knows ?

http://nhra.net/2020/flyers/D6/DRS_SEATTLEDIV.PDF

Also a couple of Stock/SS combo races this weekend. Don't know if any Pontiacs are entered, or not.

Default Div 1 & 4

In div 1, Lauren Kanuik was #23 in Stock, & Adam Strang was #33. Grace Veracka was #62, in a '68 GTO. I assume the car is the same one Adam Strang raced & had up for sale, last year. But, I could be wrong.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r=100#indextop

In SS, Bill Kennedy was #4.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r=100#indextop

D1TV coverage.

In div 4, Devon Diogvardi was #16, in Stock, & Wayne Larsen was #35.

[url]https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=361162&NewHash=LODRS-SUMMIT#indextop[/url

In SS, Hunter Pierdolla was #37, listed as driving a " '69 Formul ". Don't think there was a '69 Firebird Formula. But, as mentioned last week, Hunter has driven a '74 T/A for a few years. So, does anybody know exactly what kind of car & engine this " '69 Formul" is ? Could be a Formula S Cuda. Don't know.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...UMMIT#indextop

There's also a div 5 race. There are several Pontiac Stockers there.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r=100#indextop

There are 2 Pontiac Super Stockers there. Brad Burton was #3, @ .944 under.

Default Div 4 & 5

Drag Racer TV is covering the div 4 race. But, as it does quite often, it's raining in Houston.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPln2l_HbIE

In the div 5 Stock Q-list I just noticed that Brad Burton's car is listed in I/SA. I assume that info is not correct, unless he switched to a 400 engine, this week. The car was listed in D/SA last week.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...er=30#indextop

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r2020#indextop

If the info is wrong, it's not the 1st time. I reported a Pontiac winner, only to find out the DRC info was wrong, & the winner was actually driving a Mopar, listed as a Pontiac.

Looking at the et that they have for Brad Burton he is either running I/SA or is way over the index for D/SA.

WOW ! Didn't see that one coming !

As always, THANKS Norman, for the good info !

That brings up several questions, at least to me.

I know the Burton guys have been racing Pontiacs for a long time. Not aware of Brad's Mom ever driving one. So, has she ever driven in competition, either in class or bracket racing ?

OR, will this be her 1st drag car ?

If she does plan to enter some races, was it totally her idea, or did the guys push her into it ?

I remember when my girlfriend said that as long as she was going to the races anyhow, she may as well drive a car, to give us another chance to win some expense money. Worked out real good.

I wish Mrs. Burton the best of luck ! She has some good teachers.

I assume they'll race all 4 cars at some races.

Would love to see pics of the '74.

Default Grimace

Well, I went to Brad's FB page & found a video & pic of the '74 Formula. Brad calls it "Grimace". Seems that his Mom doesn't like the name.

Watched some of the 1st round of qualifying. Michael Brand is driving his D/SA '73 Bird, in Stock. And Kevin MacNicol is driving his '69 Bird, in S/ST.

If anybody knows of other Pontiac powered cars at this race, please post that info.

Michael Brand was #5 @ .738 under. They are obviously running 1/8 mile, at this track, since his ET was 6.682.

There's a 2-day National Open doubleheader in progress at Sacramento. Assuming there'll be some Pontiac powered cars there.

They're supposed to race today. But it's been raining. So the schedule has changed.
