Hi everyone..

Dumb question.. anyone know what this 2 holes are for?

Tried to google, search, ask, but no answer..

The two holes are simply the ends of a loop of tubing inside the exhaust heat riser. As long as the tube isn’t corroded to the point where it has any holes in it it’s fine to leave it as is.

If you are using the factory choke you must connect the 2 tubes to the carb and insert the other ends in the holes. Other wise no heat goes to the choke coil to open the choke. Either way make sure there is NO EXHAUST coming out those holes. It is common for the tube inside the manifold to rot out and leak exhaust. If you connect up the carb to a leaking tube you will eat out the inside of the choke mechanism. If you are not using them you don't want hot exhaust discharging onto the side of your carb. If they are leaking and you don't need to use them just plug them.
