Default .001 light

Almost cut a perfect light yesterday at US 13 Dragway in Delaware yesterday. Yes, I know I'm a slow amateur and try not to be jealous of my elaborate pit area. Probably the last day of the year here.

Congrats!
Always great to get those reaction times.
Did you roll in deeper on that pass?

John, I didn't think I did anything different on that run. Just lit the 2 staging bulbs like usual.

Its always good to get one. Every time i get a .001 of .000 it feels like a red light, its playing with fire.
Here is one thing I do. I usually get 4 time runs. Try and push it on the lights the first 3 passes, who cares if you go red. If the announcer blares out your name in conjunction with low .00 lights, other racers notice. You get other racers to go red on you more often during eliminations if you keep that up. Thus, they are earned.
If you can stay around .010-.015 you will win a lot of races.
The last pass in time trials I try and settle in for eliminations, nice light without going red.

Dragncar, how long does it take to get 4 runs at your track? My track is notoriously slow for getting cars through. Sunday I was there 6 hrs to get 2 runs in, first at 12:30 & 2nd at 4:30. I could have drove home(45mins) and cut grass and still had time. My goal is to get at least 2 timeslips when I go

We get our times trials done by around 1:00 if there has not been a lot of clean ups. Eat lunch and start eliminations, done by 5: or so.
I run 2 classes, Pro and Super Pro with 3 time runs each. They won't let me take 6 time runs as it is too much a advantage.
Time trials start at 10:00
I feel bad for all the East Coast guys. Not enough tracks anymore. This was the last year for Sacramento so we might get more cars in the future.

I went to Dragway 42 in Ohio yesterday for time runs. They had runs from 11-4 gates opened at 10:00am. I didn’t get to the track till 11:15 so they had already started. Anyway I got 3 runs in and had the car on trailer by 2:30pm when I pulled out at 3:00 they where on runs 5 or 6. It was my first time to this track and the track is awesome smooth as glass it’s only a few years old.
