Default So when Murphy's Law bite's you in the rear

Yesterday moving cars around the shop to get the Camaro/IA to go racing Sunday moved tractor out 04 GTO out Camaro out just needed to start the &* TA up and move it where the Camaro was. Last started about 4 weeks ago rebuilt the Holley this summer. First battery was sluggish turning over electric fuel pump sound was a little different Rear needle stuck WIDE open pouring out the vent filling the body and the way to the top! Pulled needle out looked ok and ran it was low and stopped the flood. Oil was same level and did not smell like gas.Battery charge and was really slow in spots. Pulled the plugs and blew a lot of gas out of a few cylinders all over the fenders! Fresh plugs fired up and felt OK,repsonive but "fogging for mosquitoes" the whole time I ran it fro about 5 minutes! Hopefully it will clear out and not hydrauliced it and broke a ring.

Camaro I had swapped convertors (new one does feel looser so good so far)on but the brake pedal started having bad feel-the Wilwood calipers seemed to be the issue and better once replaced but also swapped on a larger MC so less pedal travel. Going to pull off the wheels to bleed one more time one of the Weld Wheel lugnuts seized on the stud and I broke the stud just with my breaker bar. They were not quite legal length so replaced the rest also. And of course the Wilwood hubs you have to pull the rotor and adapter off to get to the studs! Then safety wire them back!

Odered new Weld and Gorilla lugnuts. New Weld look like crappy threads also.

The good thing was TNT track rental went OK , good traffic decent weather but hot(my truck temp showed 5 degrees hotter in the 80s than tracks temp. on their slip so I think the DA was worse.

Murphy got me one more time when I drained the gassy oil out of the 78 while on the lift but did not move the pan out from under the tire when I let it down! Still getting used to the lifts. I keep hitting my head on a tire when I think I' low enough to clear everything!

Not sure the neighbors would go for that

Scarebird the hogs are a major destructive problem even going into neighborhoods. They multiple faster than stray cats. They have rutted my place so bad it almost tosses me off the tractor when I hit one. It actually is legal in Texas to shoot from a chopper and use a silencer.

Skip, I am aware that feral hogs are an issue in that part of the country. Shooting them from a helicopter with automatic weapons for pleasure is psychotic.

Of course Ted had his chance in his youth to shoot things from a helicopter courtesy of Uncle Sam; he decided to literally **** his pants instead.

There are many ranchers here in Texas that actually invite shooters on their ranches with the sole purpose to kill as many hogs as they can shoot... by foot, in cars if done legally and by air ! A resident landowner or the landowner's agent or lessee may take feral hogs causing depredation on the resident landowner's land without having acquired a hunting license, meaning that hogs on your private property are fair game.

One of the ways farmers have tried to rid their land of feral hogs is by shooting them from the air. It's been legal in Texas to hunt invasive species from aircraft for years, but private landowners had to hire a team to do it, which is expensive.

Wild hogs are among the most destructive invasive species in the United States today. Two million to six million of the animals are wreaking havoc in at least 39 states and four Canadian provinces; half are in Texas, where they do some $400 million in damages annually.

You can Google 'shooting wild hogs in a helicopter' and find dozens of video examples. I only picked a short one, not for who the shooters were.

I'd love for someone with one of those smart phone remote control giant traps to set it up and trap them. On my cameras I routinely see a sow with 6 babies , multiple sows, multiple boars.
