I discovered my OEM wiper motor on my 66 Tempest was "toast". So, I ordered a replacement from Ames Performance. The starter arrived and a BIG YELLOW sticker on the outside of the box stated "Do not bench test this Motor. Doing so may change the park position and it can not be reset".

So, I installed the new motor without testing. It didn't work. I contacted Ames and sent it back while ordering another one. They refunded my original purchase for the purchase price and shipping (both ways).

NOTE: after receiving the second wiper motor I decided the sticker was nonsense and bench tested it. It worked fine. I installed it and it works.....not well, but it works. I may go with a Newport Engineering replacement wiper motor in the future as the OEM type that I have does not seem to be up to the task for some reason.
