Default AMES phone issues

I've tried to call AMES a dozen times today(1:45-2:00 EST) the phone never rings and then the call drops....nothing. I had my wife try from a different phone, same thing. What is going on?

May be due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl. Vermont was hit with heavy rain and flooding. Haven't heard much from NH.

I tried to call Ames 2 weeks ago and got the No Phone working msg.
I hope we don't have to use the tin can and string line.
