I have a dip-stick and tube for a 68-9 Gran Prix, t-400 and the tube is shaped in a way that will not fit a 69 GTO[that I own]

As long as the tube follows the case fairly close and is not too tall it will fit , if the tube is bent in a way that is not following the case it could hit the body of the car . Why is yours not fitting ?

mine fits fine,I was asking what application[car-year] does your tube fit.
the x-tra 1 I have hanging around came from a 68-69 GP,T-400 and the tube shape is differnt than the 1 that came stock on my 69 GTO.
