He must have been kind of like us.
And for a guy who would order a car like that to have been the "top beancounter" at Pontiac... perhaps just another factor contributing to the alignment of the planets that enabled Pontiac to produce so many fantastic cars in that era.

This is a killer thread. Thanks for the history lesson, gentlemen! It would be totally cool of one of Enoch's grandkids or great-grandkids got this car and restored it. What a history!

Enoch Eley's son, Gary Enoch Eley, is 80 years old and lives in Frankfort, Mich. His phone number is listed, although I will not list it here. He was 30 years old when his dad took delivery of this car 50 years ago last week.....I'll bet he has some stories about this car.

One thing that might be on the minus side towards Eley's ownership of the car is it doesn't appear to have stayed in Michigan very long at all judging by the condition of the metal.

But its definitely on the plus side as far as the car itself is concerned.

He may have even bought this car as a gift for another family member that went abroad with it.
It found its way to Arizona somehow

That would be awesome if his son had memory or knowledge of the car in 1970.
Execs like that got a new company car every 3 months/3,000 miles.
He probably drove a lot of different new Pontiacs during his tenure.
