Default Cam thoughts

This is the sft that my builder has chosen with help from his guy at Bullet. It's to replace my solid roller that was damaged.

250/256
606/607
installed at 104

Going in my 472 stroker, being dynoed Monday.

Nice.... I guess you'll find out Monday if they did a good job on the cam selection.

Good luck with the dyno session.

What is your CR?
Are the KRE heads stock or ported?

Sounds kind of mild to me. My first roller 455 E head motor had a 259/262 @ 0.050 UD lobes and was fairly streetable, not at idle but on the rollers it would even pass emissions on the sniffer!

It's not a roller, solid flat tappet. We are hoping to be somewhere between the 290b, 510hp and my solid roller 620hp.
I'm not chasing every last hp this time, just want a low maintenance bracket engine that I can drive on the street.

Got ya thought it was a SR. I ran an UD 288/292 255/259 @ 0.050 SFT in my RAIV 400. Pretty lumpy in a 400 least vacuum of any cam I had in it.
I am all in for a low maintenance motor too!

I ran a 455 at 11.4:1 static CR with stock 16 D-ports and an Ultradyne 255/263 duration @0.050" solid flat tappet and the car went 11.4 in the 1/4 as a point of reference.

Well seeing as your 1.65 rockers will add 3 to 4 more degrees over the nose of the cam and considering what you have for intake flow with those heads I would say that you will have no less then 550 Hp.
More might be on tap depending on the manifold your running .

Will the motor have headers?

Yes using Maddog 4 tube stepped 1.3/4 to 1.7/8. Keeping the Victor I had before, everything is the same as my signature

Maybe start with 1.5:1 on the Exhaust? And stay with it.
