Henry Aaron...R.I.P....
Aged 86, passed away. A great ambassador to the game of baseball. Faced a lot of crap when he broke Babe Ruth's HR record.
Trivia question...Who was the last Negro League player to have played in Major League baseball??? Mr. Aaron!

RIP Hank
I remember watching him hit his record breaking home run. Didn't he have (or had) a '66 GTO? |

I saw him play a few times in Philly at the Connie Mack stadium.
I had the good fortune to see a few great players as a little kid. Hank was a great ball player RIP |

Saw him play when I was about 10 years old. Being in Atlanta for the last 4 decades and watching a lot of Braves games over those years, he was guest in the booth often and still very involved in the Braves organization in the front office. A great ambassador to the game is right and a great story teller. He had a bunch of them.

RIP. I was fortunate enough to see him blast a HR at Crosley Field against the Reds. One of the first games I remember with my dad.

Saw him in 1974 hit number 715 when I was 7yo. I remember the crowd went wild.

Saw Hammerin' Hank hit 714 to tie the record at Riverfront Stadium. After all the hoopla, they benched him because they wanted him to break the record at home. A real gentleman.

I got his autograph as a kid. He was a bit before my time, but a legend.

The racists tried to tear him down, it was just fuel for him. Godspeed Mr. Aaron, you've earned your rest.

Someone asked Hank recently about letting Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame, Hank, without out doubt said, NO!!!
I'm sure it had a lot to do with Rose and Hank playing in the same era. I think there may have been A LOT that Hank did NOT say about his answer!!! Even though they never played on the same team, your reputation in the game is known, among all teams... I kinda relented on Rose getting into the HOF. Shoot gambling is unfortunately part of our society these days. You can gamble on a phone, casinos are everywhere (there's more casinos in Oklahoma per capita than ANY other state, it's disgusting (to me)). My thinking was, let him in the Hall, while he's still alive. Forgiveness is a difficult thing, for everyone. If Hank says NO, I'm leaning towards NO, for now...Mr. Aaron brought NO disrespect to the game of baseball!!! All the threats he received....
