Default Roadkill Junkyard Gold

Just showed a 1970(?) Esprit VIN 10006

Anyone else catch that?

Steve Magnante thinks it was a Pilot car

I forgot it was on and turned it on halfway in so I missed where he was.

My TV guide says its a new episode so I'm sure they will repeat it (to death).

They also said it was the last show for this season. It was also a show about Buicks. He stumbled on the 'bird in the yard.

If you're thinking this car should be saved, you're right. I saved one.

71 Esprit L100006, nothing special just another '71 Esprit.

Magnante should have stopped by here. Could have recieved a hands on education as to what a Late BUICK 8.2 10 bolt rear is. So annoying to hear misinformation over & over again.

Ah, a '71.

Original post suggested '70. And I was curious on location because I pulled an alternator off a '70 Bird with a single digit VIN in a yard in Central/Northern MI back in the late 90s. No idea if that yard even still exists, but if it does the car is probably still there, as the owner thought pretty much everything he had was pure gold. Fortunately that didn't apply to alternators. He viewed those as worth nothing more than "core value". That car's open face original alternator is on my TH400 '70 T/A ...

I had 70 with (?) because, as I stated, I turned it on late.

I watched it again at midnight and it is a '71. The yard is K & K Automotive in Texas. The car is bronze colored and Magnante clearly stated that it was a Pilot vehicle that are usually hand assembled and likely had Prototype parts on it. I don't know, I only reported what I saw.

But then...… On another episode he call a set of wheels Ansens when they are clearly Appliance.

Forums aren't the only place to find these so-called "experts".
