Well, the car is almost ready for paint, he just finished his final blocking etc. He is very happy how straight it is and I should have it back with paint by the end of may.

I am going up on sunday to take a look, i have seen pics on my phone but its hard to see much.

Sorry dude, I can't believe I missed this post originally! I may have been out of town. The car looks mean in the primer! I tried to get the paint guy to "tint" some primer and do mine that way but he didn't believe in it? Idunno Anyway, can't wait to see how it turns out! What color?

What other changes to the drivetrain to improve the ET/MPH? JD

Will be orange like my old one. This one we took orbit orange (old color) and tinted to get a nice darker orange and then put in some gold pearl for the flash. Check the link in my sig. to see my old one.

I have a victor, and TII intake to try. Nitrous kit. I want to redo my rear suspension, narrow, relocate shocks, etc. Would like to lower it some too. Hoping to fit a 315 or 325 DR. Have some carb tuning to do as I was having some issues once i put the new cam in. If I can afford it I will be getting some adjustable shocks front and rear.

With the price of gas i doubt i will be going to the strip this year so i will be doing some seat of the pants tuning i think.

Wow the damage looks bad to your old Ventura! Hope you were OK?

I'm not sure if the Victor will fit under the hood? I'm adding a 1" open spacer to my TII to see how it reacts.
I'm waiting on the nitrous until I can at least swap out the TH350 to a stronger built TH400.
I'd like to work on my pinion angle and finish the subframe connectors.
I am mounting my M/T ET Drag 29.5/9.0/15 slicks and installing 90/10 front shocks.

Maybe a few other upgrades before trying the track! JD

Builtit,
great video shot. I'm changing mine to E-Heads and mild 268 EX-energy cam ram-air long branch manifolds. Can't wait to see how this 455 responds.

Yup, i was ok after the crash, juts a scrapped up arm and bruised pride.

I want to upgrade to some 315cfm KRE D-port fom SD but not sure its in the budget.

a95toy- it should respond well to the E-heads. Just remember they like alot of timing, like 38-42.

Car looks good! Forget the stripes, less is more!!! Tuck some tires under it, put that thing down low to the ground, polish it out, put some new shiny rims on it and have fun

Yup, plan is to tuck the tires, drop it abit, and polish up the rims (i dont like chrome). I will decide on the stripes after i have it for awhile. He said it was stopping traffic, hehe.

REALLY COOL, it reminds me of the "Old School Hot Wheels"! I'm impressed looks like a much nicer paint job than mine, congrats! I can't wait to see it with all the trim on it plus when you get the stance right it will be a jaw dropper for sure! JD

Thanks, there is many hours of work on this one. The bodyman is a friend of mine and i told him to do it right, so he has put in a ton of time. He has had it for two winters and finally got the paint on it. I am scared to see the bill, ouch! He leaded everything so very little filler.

This is the ''show car'' for him, he is starting his own bodyshop soon so mine will be the example, lol.

That looks awesome, you can really see the pearl.
Is the clear on it in those pics?

For stripes I prefer the HO stripe. It goes in between the wheelwells.

I had a pic, can't find it.

Look for a pic of 67/8 firebird with the HO stripe, Same idea. Then you always have the Nova Yenko stripe..it's not too bad.
