Default SBC being replaced in our school drag car.

We have been racing a 67 Firebird for about 12 years now as a High School drag car. We have been using a SBC under the hood. We want to go back to a 1971 455 Pontiac and do not know what frame towers or motor mounts to use? Any help where to get these or what to use? Thanks you William & Auto students

Motor mounts:

they are made by mitymounts:

I have them on my car.

The frame mounts can be used from 67-69 birds or 73-74 venturas which came with pontiac motors.

73-74 venturas and 67-69 birds use the same front subframe.

Beware of some aftermarket frame mounts, some have had problems with the fit. Originals work best.

I would just add that many '72 Venturas also came with Real Pontiac engines and they will work too.

Good luck to you and congrats on going back to Real Pontiac power brother!
