Garage is pretty much done (except for siding which will have to wait until spring). Time to start on the car!!

So, the minitubs from autoweldchassis are 120USD and to ship them is..........75USD! Man, we get shafted on shipping!

Oh well, guess i will order them up tomorrow.

Got a rocker stud girdle in the mail today.

Nice garage! It looks like you spent the money where it really matters in lighting, there is nothing worse then working in a "cave".

Sucks about the shipping, a friend bought a sheetmetal MFI intake from a guy in Vancouver, he had us puzzled why he said he needed to drive into the US to ship, guess now I know, lol.

Yup, no messing around with the lighting. In those pics another row of flourescents are hidden above the main door too!

Have 64FT of dual flourescents and 4-200W incandescents. I think i used 18 circuits in the garage, lots of room for add-ons and plenty of capacity. All the recepticles are split wired so no worries about tripping due to two high current devices on the same recepticle.

Only bad thing is i may be moving to a different city in a year, have to sell the house and garage. I will probably build a garage there too though, learned alot with this one.

Sending the MO out tonight for the tubs, ouch!

$275CAD/pallet. If i remember correctly it was 50/40B bags=2000LBs.

Here is a few more pics to show how much room i have with the lifted chevy. Now i can put the big tires on in the garage instead of out in the snowbank!!

So i am going to go with a bearing retainer type deal on the diff instead of c-clip eliminators. Anybody have any ideas which one i should go with, ford 9'' large? I may go to discs in the future too so i need to keep that in mind.

I think i will call moser today and get their recommendation.

Yes, I would go with large bearing ford.

Check Wilwood's site, I believe they offer a kit for that tube end.

Smart move as c-clip eliminators make it very difficult to use a rear disc.

Woohoo, did my first bit of work in the new garage! Put the 38's on the chevy (no pics yet). Anyways, back to the thread at hand. I am going to start taking some measurements/pics over the weekend and will most likely start teardown on monday. My tubs are a good 1-1.5 weeks away so i am hoping to get things stripped down to that point.

Oh, it's confusing because the tires sitting next to the truck look taller to me. Still looks cool! JD

So i finally got started. Have a ton of pics but i will post just the important ones.

Going to have the tires mounted on the rims on friday.

Still waiting for tubs to show up. Looks like my front QA1's are at the UPS pickup.
Have to check on the sliders, have not heard if they have shipped yet.
