1973 LeMans Sport Coupe
'73 LeMans Sport Coupe - $9,000 USD
This is a Canadian built LeMans and beginning in 1955 most Canadian Pontiacs were factory built with Chevrolet drivetrains and badged as Pontiac engines with various Canadianized names. I have owned the car since 2004 and have built the car to suit my tastes while trying to respect factory appearance and period correctness. Not a numbers matching muscle car, just looks and acts like one. GM Canada built 3,761 Sport Coupes in 1973. This car is powered by a RPO LE8 454 V8 with dual plane intake, Performer 4bbl carb, MSD electronic ignition, Patriot long tube headers with dual exhausts and Turbo Corvair mufflers finished by one year only correct style chrome tailpipe extensions. Factory style dual scooped hood with NACA ducts that are functional, F41 rear sway-bar, very good and meaty Radial TAs (DOT 03 2020) on body colour Wheel Vintiques 15 x8 rear and 15 x 7 front with genuine Pontiac correct poverty hub caps. Car has full Pontiac Rally Gauge Cluster and I adapted a 160 MPH speedometer from a Trans Am into the cluster, it has a very nice roof map light from a Grand Am and a Grant 3 spoke Pontiac cushioned steering wheel. Interior is original and there are two places the driver seat has tears. Painted non original colour in 1989 from original Ascot Silver it shows its age with scuffs, chips, dings, some rattles and 50 years of repairs - a true 20 footer. Car does attract a lot of attention every time it goes out. If you are looking to add some Badassery to your stable, this could be for you.

Many thanks kingbuzzo! I think its pretty cool and have had years of enjoyment from it.
I'll take this opportunity to post some interior pictures and in particular the factory gauge cluster with 160 MPH speedo. A neat feature of the car is that it was ordered for dealer stock and whoever ordered the car didn't realize that although bucket seats were standard in the Sport Coupe a console and floor shifter were optional at extra cost. Consequently we have a bucket seat car with column shift, something very rarely seen.
