Power Steering Issue
When the car is on the ground, and as soon as I start turning the wheel it squeals in either direction and the wheel jerks as I turn it.
The pump is new The gear box is new Belt is new I have done the following...... The belt was very loose, so I tighten it a bit, has about 1/2 flex now, that didn't do anything. I spun the pulley counter-clockwise to get rid of the air bubbles. I lifted the front end off the floor, turned the wheels back and forth at least 15 times from lock to lock, no squealing or jerking at all, worked perfect. As soon as I lowered the car, squealing and jerking was back. With the car on the ground, I again turned the wheel back and forth, lock to lock, squealing and jerking stayed consistent. Bad pump? Am I missing something? Thanks DM3
