Default My old 66 Bonneville...

My brother has my old 66 Bonneville that I had when I was in trade school in 1977. I was thinking on picking it up off him since he never uses it anymore. It was originally a California car and was never hit. Besides, I miss not having a Pontiac..

The fourth photo of my girl friend who is my wife today sitting on the hood, there's a neighbors 68 GTO convert behind it that had a Nunzi 455 in it, that car was fast and used to take on the big blocks and Hemis at the street races! The last photo is how the car looks today. The first photo is of the rear end of the car along with my wife and I in 1977, it over looks the Allegheny river in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. Also in the first photo is my buddy's 72 Electra 225, he used to get so pissed that my 66 with its little 389 could blow the doors off his Buick with its 455 LOL...

I miss hanging out with you guys on here too....

The last pic of the Bonneville shows a 421 badge on the lower trim. What's the story there? 421, 389, 421 badge only? A 66 421 Bonneville is a very cool car. Especially an HO.

8-lugs in the recent photo, but wheel covers in the '78 photo with your girlfriend. Did your brother put them on? If so, score!

A good friend of mine bought a 65 GTO convertible, car was one year old. 389 4 speed, 4 Bbl. Of course he raced it a lot...lined up against a real 421, that was a mistake...

Congrats on being married for the duration!!!

Thanks T.C. We have been together since 1972 since we were 14. Funny, my wife and I watch Andy Griffith every week night on METV.. We feel its doing these little things daily that keeps us happy.

The salt is gone and my brother let me take it for a ride. Wow, I was in tears. It rode and handled so smoothly and comfortably. I just wanted to keep on going. The reverb still makes the music sound weird at 90 mph haha.. I just love the soft rumble of the 068 cam in the good old 389 with duals... Shes not a race car and doesn't try to be, just a big brute that likes to swoop down the highway..

Buy it and put her back on the road.. those big bonnes were smooth highway cruisers. And I love the interiors, like a ritz carlton on the inside
