Best Product to Clean / Polish Weld Prostar Wheels
Picked up a set of a Weld Prostar Wheels , what’s the best product to clean and polish them.

The Weld website says they are polished aluminum, but doesn't mention any clear coat. If that's the case, any good aluminum polish should do the trick. I like Simichrome or Flitz, but there are a number of other similar products available.
For cleaning, start with mild soap and water, and only go to stronger cleaners if necessary. |

Mother's Powerball. Easiest and fastest way to clean & polish aluminum I've ever used. Just don't use a cordless drill like they show. Use electric or air powered.

I love Flitz, I use it for everything! Mothers is good too, but I think Flitz is a bit better.

I use the Mothers and 00 steel wool followed by a micro fiber buffing cloth to clean the trim on my 50 Pontiac. But, I don't have any pictures to show the results yet.

I've heard good things about Adams polish #1 and Adams polish #2. Reading reviews lots of people claiming it's the best product they've ever used to polish aluminum.

Depends on condition,the old stand by for heavy tarnish is Simichrome,more aggressive than Flitz,both very good.Used Simichrome years ago on polished magnesium wheels.Tom

Flitz is my go to, but Mothers works too.
BTW, anybody else remember when you could get 15x3.5 Weld Superlight or Prostars for $88 bucks from Summit with free shipping? Times have changed! |
