Default Searching for my first 66 GTO

Any info on locating this car would be great.I sold it in 1994 to cover the closing costs on my first home.It should still be in Virginia, but the trace company says it hasn't been registered in the last 7 years. It was Autumn Maple(burgundy/maroon) with black interior. It was a tri-power,4-speed car with a 12 bolt chevy rear.It had a Holley 4-barrel on it when I sold it.A few details that would make it my car would be,an aluminum trunk pan with the battery mounted in the trunk.Air bags in the rear springs.Rally gauges, hazard light switch, mirror on passenger sun visor.Kenwood stereo. The 389 had a .507 lift cam,and we put screw-in studs in the 093 heads.Wish I had never sold it but I'm sure everyone on this board has a story like this.Thanks.
Jeff

Do you have a way to trace previous ownership, other than the DMV? If so I would appreciate your assistance.

There was a Burgundy/Black '66 GTO that was sold on CL here in Minneapolis a few months back. New owner ran the PHS and it is a 3x2 4-spd 3.90stt.
