Question about 4 door parts car
Hi, I had some parts swapping questions. I got a 1966 GTO and am looking at a 66 lemans 4 door no post car as a parts car. I know I can use the front clip but I was wondering if I can use the trunk lid, vent windows and frame to use on my GTO? Also will a 4 door power window set up work on a 2 door car? Thanks

OB, Welcome aboard.
As far as the parts swap; I do believe the vent windows are the same. Deck lid is Not. Frame should not be an issue and will fit under your 2DR. Power window parts may ? I would think its just a matter of modifying the wire harness but I'm sure others will have further info on that.

Same wheelbase. The '66 or '67 Pontiac A-body four door hardtop frame, while the same wheelbase as same year Pontiac A-body 2 door hardtop/2door Sportcoupe/4 door Sedan frame, there is a slight difference at one of the body bushing mounts. Not a big deal for many restorers when doing a frame swap.

How is the body on that 4 door hardtop?
Production figures for such, 1966 and 1967: 1966: Tempest Custom 10,996 + LeMans 13,897 = 24,893 1967: Tempest Custom 5,483 + LeMans 8,424= 13,907
