Could have pinned your butt to the garage floor too, and even killed you if it restricted your breathing... Thank the Good Lord for no injuries to you, or the GP.

I helped replace a broken spring on my sister's 2-car garage (single door) three years ago. I couldn't believe how heavy that was to lift. I could only get it up a few inches by myself.

I'm halfway through this process.

First spring broke and was replaced back around Christmastime.

You know how they say you are supposed to do both at the same time?

Second one broke back in April or May. Still have to deal with that one.

My wide 2-car door had the torsion springs: i couldn't get the door up at all!!! Heavy humid wood. Yea, amazing how heavy!!

Sold that house and now have 3 light little doors that could lift with me pinky.

You are so lucky, great looking 63 with all the right stuff.
I had a 63 star chief 389 auto. It was my work car pool ride. Dark blue/ wht top.
It was a sinister looking ride in the late 80's shipyard traffic.
The guys called it the death star. congrats and good times with it!

Had to get the car out of the garage today, got the garage door opener replaced. First time the car has seen sunlight in years. It looks good after the initial dust off. The interior needs a deep cleaning. Under the hood needs a good cleaning as does the underside. I'll be moving to the big car section, lots of questions. This is going to be fun.

grrrrregg!!!,

Once again, Congratulations!

A big kid with his new toy. Doesn’t get any better.

BTW, that interior looks OEM to me.

I’ll be following MRR 009 over to the Big Cat section.

Chris.
