Skimmed my debit card at the gas pump for $1,000.00. Bank saw an extra $1.00 charge after the gas amount.

I worked financial crimes on a joint task force at the Sheriffs Office that I worked for with all kinds of agencies and private investigators. Some of these cases would have been so easy to prosecute because they would make purchases on say amazon and have it shipped right to their door or their neighbors etc. It blew my mind because none of them cared about anything under 10-15 thousand dollars. It was explained to me by one of the adjusters that they get to write off the lose plus projected interest so they still make money. It’s only at the point you exceed their projection that they give a ****. One group you don’t f with though is the post office. If you buy stamps or you can get a money order with a debit card. If you screw the post office out of even a penny the postal inspector will bust your ass
