Thanks, guys. The throat pain is easing, so this will probably be my last day on pain meds. Still feel like a truck ran over me, so I’m taking it easy for the next few days. My doc has forbidden me to do much of anything until they remove the stitches and steristrips on Thursday.

My mom is at 7 yrs. now after stage 4 colon and liver cancer. She said drinking anything cold was like gargling with razor blades.

She always said, " I have cancer, cancer doesn`t have me."

Good luck. It can be beaten.

UPDATE: the biopsy report was back early. The bad: very early stage one papillary thyroid cancer(.1 cm) was detected in the left lobe of my thyroid. This isn't uncommon since papillary thyroid cancer is often multifocal(appears in many locations in the thyroid). The good: my lymph nodes and blood vessels indicated negative for the presence of abnormal (cancer) cells. It looks like the suggested treatment will be a small amount of radiation, but this will NOT start for at least four weeks.
