Cool 1972 LeMans magazine ad
I picked up a June 1972 issue of Hot Rod magazine at a swap meet this morning, and noticed this ad for the $41 Endura bumper option for the LeMans.

Reading the ad, it says that you could get the T-41 nose with any engine- I don't think I've ever seen one with the six. Had to be an odd bird that would add the Endura nose and keep the base six. Can't be many of those ever ordered!

I wondered about that too. I'd be surprised if anyone actually ordered one built that way, but you never know.

The T-41 option was first avail on '71 models @ $73.72. Have a ton of original invoice copies @ have never seen evidence of an early built '71 T-41 LeMans. All I have info on were built mid to late '81 production. As noted above, the price for the T-41 option was lowered for the '72 models.
As partscars & projects, it's been my exp over the last 35 years that '71 T-41 optioned LeMans have been quite a bit harder to find than '72 counterparts. Nearly twice as many '72's were built.

I think there is at least one thread on this?
Here is what the 1972 Production showed: 1971 - 4535 built with T-41 1972 - 20881 built with T-41 thru July No further breakdown given.

Cool option back in day. Escpecially on a Lemans vert. Looks awesome on that car!
Wonder why it wasn't available on a 71 T-37/GT-37?
