The 69 428 SJ dirt car (same car as my signature picture, a little worse for wear) doing a burnout in front of my former Pennzoil service station in Erie PA. The black 68 Firebird on the other side of the pumps was originally a RA II that a friend of mine bought, engine missing and installed a SR RA IV in it. I was doing a final tune on it right after the engine install is the reason it was there for service work.

Another view of the 69 GP freshly painted and lettered at the beginning of the racing season, before it went on the track. Background is the nose of my 69 GTO with a molded lemans front bumper welded onto the front fenders so no seam, also a 68 GTO sitting without an engine in it.

The GP in my signature picture has both GTOs and my X wife's 71 Grand Safari 455 wagon and if you look way out in the background the red car is a 62 SD car that was beat to death throughout it's lifetime, probably ended up scrapped for beer money, knowing the guy that owned it in that picture. Hard to see behind the blue 71 Grand safari is a 67 GP black vinyl over red, that I hauled in after a severe front end wreck. Took the running gear out of it and sent it to the scrap yard.

Although not a Pontiac this was my Jeep wrecker/snowplow that had a 455 Pontiac transplanted into it. It was the tool I used to bring a lot of the Pontiacs to the service station (YOST PENNZOIL) when they were inoperable or wrecked. I also used the Jeep to haul the dirt cars to the race track.

It would have been something to pull in to a gas station and see Mickey Thompson there with the Challenger.

The guy in the white t-shirt doesn't look too happy with the photographer.
Can't tell what is in his right hand.

Probably a power antenna, since it's on the rear quarter panel.

I pass up on a lot of them.... in town or city. They're on just about everywhere. Out on the highway, not so much.

Looks like a '57 Eldorado pulling that Judge from post 3!
Wouldn't mind having either one of those today.

Go to GTOAA.org, scroll down on left side page and click Route 66 Street Legends Cruise (Photos), then click Route 66 Street Legends Cruise Photo Album . A lot of GTO's at old gas stations but neat part photos are from September and October of this year. Been a "Long Hauler" on 3 Hot Rod Power Tours, done "Cruisin' The Coast", several GTOAA and POCI conventions but this Route 66 Cruise blew them all away.
