I agree with you completely - even if I did not agree with you I would still respect your opinion.

Too many folks feel empowered to the point that they pat them selves on the back for being “ tolerant “ ....

Unfortunately it's not just in the USA, it's all over;
It seems to me that in decades past, people of differing opinions and/or political stripes could get along, be civil with one another, and work together for the common good - now we are increasingly polarized, especially on the political spectrum;
Just because someone is a card carrying member of a party you don't stand behind doesn't mean they need be white-washed as "the enemy".

I am all for differing opinions, it's the differences that make life colourful, err far from hum-drum and drab.

I thought that was a good response from Ellen.

Yeah, her video response today was good. Never did I think I would be sharing an Ellen video on FB, but she echoed a lot of my own sentiments. There are people out there that are just bad people, but in general Im a big believer that the vast majority of people are decent humans.

With rare, rare exceptions, I really only talk politics (and religion) with very good friends in the right situation, and it is that happens maybe once a year. I have never in decades of life, never changed someones outlook on this things my sharing mine. And it has caused friction at best. Why here I avoid Clubhouse. This way I get along with 99% of people here in Lobby and 70-73 bird sections. In life, I get along with cowboys, loggers, hippies, artists, lefties, righties, middlies (me), and all kind of wierdo's and great people.

So a rightie sitting with a lefty makes total sense to me. They probably talked many things they agree on.

I like her...always have... I get along with most... I respect anyone's opinion as long as you dont try and shove it down my throat... I tend to talk a lot of smack but can take it just as well as I give it..
I'm an economical conservative and very liberal socially... I dont care if you want to marry your dog.... it doesnt affect me in anyway!
