Lived in Stuart(St. Lucie Blvd area) from 2014-2017. Great town, except when the Canuck “snowbirds” come to roost for the winter. Do they still have the weekly cruise-in at the Methodist Church ?

Hi
Yes Lew's Crew's Tuesday night car show is still in effect but it has moved a few times after getting the boot from the Home Depot parking lot. . . Lets see it went to A dimly lit church parking lot (the one you speak of) then it went to the bowling ally ,A few times (i think to the Elliot museum & has landed at the Loews Parking lot. It has seemed to rain every Tuesday night for the past 2 months if not more. I try to go just to pay so they can keep up the good work.

Air Ram ,I know that feeling mine has been on the lift for at least 2 years. I look forward to seeing your progress.

You are about 15 miles north of Hobe Sound where PY member "Andre" is located. He is a nice guy and a guru on the mid-60's GTO's. Look him up!

I've got a daughter in Boca. Several years ago when I visited her I made it a point to meet Andre and drove up to his home in her new hi-po Jaguar. I took Andre for a ride and he took me for a ride in his 64 GTO. He had some other GTO's too. If I come down to Boca this winter I might give you a shout!

I'm still here... driving my cars as much as possible. I haven't been by Scott's shop too often though. I've been trying to make it to Lowes on a Tuesday night whenever I can, but I don't stay for much longer than an hour. The Tempest in that picture looks like the one that sits in back of the warehouses at Scotts, but I think that one is a '62?

Hey Andre.

I am 2 doors down from Scott.

its a 1961 Tempest with A high compression Trophy 4. I yoinked it out a few months before she passed it had a head oiling problem (push rod went thru a rocker arm) had the head rebuilt @ the old block head. & its been sitting. we were gunna "CC" the combustion chambers & buy a thick head gasket so it would lower the compression & be able to run on pump fuel.

That never came to Fruition.

That Hemmings ad & previous owners description we not accurate. I put a lot of time & money into that car to make it road worthy. That thing was barely rolling.

Oh well its just money, It made her Happy at the time. She loved that car.

I had asked about it. I know you are two doors down from Scott, but they never told me it was your car, or the sentimental value associated with it. I wanted to try and get it back on the road before it got too rusty. My friend Dave recently bought a '74 Grand Am.
