Had a great time, Chris. Thanks for hosting another BBQ night. And, thanks to all those who helped out too.

It was a great weekend. The first time I can ever remember 3 non weather threatening perfect Summer days. Because of that, I also can't remember seeing the parking lot, Show field and Pits so full!

Thanks for all who attended the bbq and thanks especially for all those who dropped by with food and drink donations. Because of that, this year we literally had enough of everything until the last person was served.

2015 was the year of No lines and no waiting either! Amy, Kelly and Emily literally cooked their buns off. And as soon as rib sandwiches, pepper/onion sweet sausage, burgers and hot dogs started disappearing, they got replaced. All but about 4 oz's of the 25 lb of bbq pulled pork we brought was gone when it was all over. A monster crock pot of meatballs went quick and my lips are still numb from what I assumed was the annual Hammer time Racing Chili. I can't be the only one because that giant crock pot was empty when we cleaned up too!

But wait, there's more! Rustie the potato salad making machine somehow, right at the track, made 3 giant trays available. In her spare time between racing, about 50 deviled hard boiled eggs appeared. Pasta Salads, chips, beer, water all magically appeared from various attendees as well.

The now old standby Anti-freeze 'killed' (get it) Redrum this year. If you missed either, you didn't look close enough that the Cold Case trailer counter had been turned into a temporary bar.

I'll venture a guess that we had a slightly smaller crowd this year(lots of people thought there was no bbq because there was no PY) but we steadily served for a good 2 hours. Also, when was the last time you saw the Ames crew at the bbq. Who would have even thought about that happening.

We liked the new location there in the midway. I already started my grocery list for next year and have a couple of ideas that will REALLY add to what has already become a long standing tradition. Stay tuned!

Our Pontiac hobby is alive and well and it's all simply because of everyone's participation. Keep spreading the word.

Warning to all, don't be to late! (lol...)

The wife and I did not get over to the BBQ until after 7pm, and we were lucky enough to get a couple pork sandwhiches and some potato salad. Only a few die hards remained so we left a couple trays of cookies for them to enjoy. I assume that they did not go to waste. ;-)

Sorry I missed meeting everyone, but it gives me another reason to look forward to next years event.

Thank you again to Chris and all the folks that put on the BBQ!

Emily looks forward to helping you with the grill again this year and will also be bringing the usual marinated chicken strips. As for Kelly I'm sure it will depend how Jeff does in the Gamblers race.

Duh. Ground hog day

Thanks for the 2015 update

I even said to the wife that I thought it was in the midway last year.

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess

Guys, I am sorry to say that this will be the first time in at least 12 years that I am going to miss Norwalk. I have an extended family vacation that could only be pulled off next week. I originally convinced my Son Eric to take over for me this year but he found out his newly adopted dog was ready to give birth to 8 puppies!. Even if that didn't happen, when we started working out the logistics of him taking over the bbq, I realized it would be cruel to pass on the duties to him. It's a lot of preparation and work and I never really planned on someone needing to take over for me. So sadly, there will be no Friday BBQ this year.

I'm counting on some of the racers to take over and pick up the slack for us over on the racers side!

I am already making plans to bring it back again next year!

Everyone enjoy!

Chris
