Default How to R&R Center Dash A/C Vent on a 68

I have a new center vent coming. How do I remove the old one? Using a screwdriver and try to pry the vent while pulling it forward didn't work. Do you have to remove it from behind?

The dashpad has to come off. There are clips that hold it in from behind.
