Some Panel Questions
Hi all,
Three questions if anybody can assist me? What size bolts and washers go through these holes on the inner wheel wells to the brace/bracket on a 66 GTO in the first 2 pics? Can somebody take some pics of your car for me from inside the wheel well please? 2nd, does the inner wheel wells sit a small amount away from the fender around the wheel arch with these mounts/bolts in the 3rd pic, so would be about a 1/2" gap due to the plastic mounts? 3rdly, does anybody have a 65-67 GTO hood without the Arrow emblem mounted so they can measure the location of the holes to be drilled in a new hood in the correct location? Some pics with dimensions on them, or a hand drawing with measurements would be great please if possible. See 4th pic. Thanks heaps for your help and advice yet again.

For question 1, my '67 has 5/16-18 flange head pointy-end body bolts. For question 2, yes mine has the plastic between the outer and inner wheel well.

Thanks guys, appreciate that.
George can you please take a picture of the bolts from inside the wheelwell, just so I can see how big the washers are too if that's not much hassle?

I was hoping to find an answer about the hole locations by searching older posts on this forum. I found one from 2014 that addressed the question, but the images attached at that time are no longer available:
https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...ht=hood+emblem Post #3 from Mr. Jeff Hamlin was probably just what you are looking for. Mr. Hamlin is a very knowledgeable and frequent poster in this forum. If he doesn't happen to answer in this thread, might shoot him a pm

The bolt described to secure the inner tub to the brace/bracket are commonly referred to as body bolts,
these have the washer head bolt, not a separate washer. 5/16 x 18 x 1"-1.25" seems right. The washer is approx 7/8"-1". The lower hole with the raised circle is for the rubber bumper/vibration block.

I can post pics of the correct bolts and clips for the brackets that attach the inner fenders in pic 2 of your original post. The speed nuts are unique to this bracket. I luckily got a few for my car from a guy I met on CL that has amazing original so cal parts.

Glad to assist.
FWIW; below are the offerings with hardware, available from several Parts vendors. I just can't seem to recall where I found the rubber bumpers.
