Today it would be for tracking costs, back then they were more worried about running out from one manufacturer. They kept track of which supplier was reliable. So yeah they are GM numbers. Another one that can be confusing is Jacks and Jack bases. Gm sourced at least 3 makers for that need, although there are differences.

Sorry, I can't give you a pic, the one part number I found, just happened to be in my 67-76 MPC. I was just giving you the full description of the part.
Regrettably my GM 907 STANDARD STOCK catalog was printed in March 1970. Probably why I can't find the numbers you are looking for. You could use a 907 STANDARD STOCK catalog that includes your year car. It won't give you any pics, but it will provide all the detailed information, size, length, thread, plating, etc. Since you are putting this car back nut & bolt correct, "Concours". I recommend you buy an assembly manual for your year. It will have the correct part numbers for your car and will have, not a pic, but an illustration showing where it goes. I looked through my assembly manual trying to help you. My best guess is in the 3 year gap form mine to yours, they changed part numbers. If someone here on the 70-73 forum has a '74 assembly manual they can probably help you, or at least verify whether your on the right track. Wished I could help more. My library is built around 70 & '71 models. Good Luck.
