Default Rally 1 Lug Nuts

We are re-tooling our reproduction lug nuts and want to get them exactly right.

We have two samples that we made. Guys that have original nuts still laying around by chance...is the rounded top correct or should it be more flat?

Thanks for any and all help!

My vote would be for the one on the left.

Yes, the one on the left. The OEM Rally I chrome lug nuts had a slight point on top.

My 66 has the Original full set. I also have some nice spares.

The MPC also shows the pointed top with 65-67 part number.

Chris.

X4, these would also work well for owners of '71's & 72's with rallyII's and honeycombs.
While they don't have the tall stainless steel cap design of the chevy usage/'71-72 Pontiac Rally II/honeycomb usage lugnut, the profile is much more correct than the incorrect reproduced lug nuts avail today

Forgot I have about a dozen NOS Rally I lug nuts.

These should help dial in on the details.

I wish someone would make a black center lug nut for the 70 rally 2 rim that had a bigger tapered seat with more surface area of the angle part. A factory lug doesnt have much area there and if your rim has had the lugs on and off many times over the years the hole in the rim gets widened out and the factory lug sinks deep into the rim hole.

Did these ever get into full production? If so, where can I but some?
