Default 73 GTO

Need some help as far as what this car might be worth-- It's a friends so bear with me = 1973 GTO--- 455 Automatic column shift, bench, Numbers are correct, 26,000 miles, run and drives, Honey combs, Car was in storage for the last 25 to 30 years- he forgot he had it. As far as the searches we did, the car comes up as 1 of 25 - 400's were automatic cars and the 455 was only put in front of a stick--- Except for 25, it is all original un-molested--The car is god awful ugly green on green. Any ball park or high and low would help. Thanks in advance !!! The car below is mine so please don't respond with that's not a 73-- I just don't know how to get rid of it for this post.

Would that be Code 46 Golden Olive? That's one of my favorite colors on a '73 A-body.

Fiedlerh; Is the difference between F37 and D37 the size of the quarter window?

To answer the question for him the F 37 coupe is the louvered window car & the D 37 coupe is the car with the large side window. As for me I don't really car for the large side window cars but if I could get one cheap enough I'd take it. But it would have to be a 455 car. I had one of the F 37 455 cars but had to part it out as the frame was so bad you could feel the car twist when you hit the gas. I have the original engine & the cowl tag & vin tag just in case.

There were some F37 GTO's with the large triangular side quarter windows. It was a no cost option mid model year.

The D37's all had a regular bench seat, and no woodgrain on the glovebox door.

Default Now what's it kind of worth ?

Thanks everyone for the response. Now that we have a 1 of 25 car- does anyone know what this thing might be worth ??? Is it worth anything or is it just a low number worthless car ?

Seeing that it has the woodgrain on the glovebox door, and deluxe bench, this appears the be a Sport Coupe F37 GTO with the non louvered quarter windows. This would be a one of 519 car. No idea how many F37's had the no cost louvered window delete option.

Per Pontiac's Accessory & Option Report from the GM Heritage Center, approx 3,872 had this delete option, but that's among all F37s.

I did see those numbers in paperwork but they related to 400 cars - This is a 455 car- the paper work we saw said 25 were produced- I'm no 73 GTO expert( I'm in the 66-67 class ) But I have also read peoples reports that there weren't even any GTO's made that year which we all know is non-sense. Even if you are right- it would be nice to put some kind of value on the car- even a 500 production number is super low- I personally believe it's God awful ugly ( I was never a green fan)- but that's just me- others love it. Thanks for the response.

Do we even have a VIN yet to determine which model/bodystyle it is?

Because Canaman is correct with the 519 455 cars if it's a F37. If it's a D37, then it's 25 455 cars.

The VIN would determine the model/bodystyle AND engine and problem solved.

I should have grabbed the win when I was there, I'll get it. Thanks
