Hey Uncle Judge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4WrkPLlXmc
Is this the same one? How many Palladium Silver 4-speed's could there have been? Maybe just this one. And the options are the same. You need to sell the owner a correct oil pressure sender!

I enjoyed watching this, nice coverage, and very nice car.
Would like to know the history of the car if anyone has it.

Ram4King aka (Don?)
Are you referring to this Silver Judge? Please pardon me for not keeping up well, I'm on a heap of drugs.

I am not aware of any other Silver RAIV 4 speed Judge converts. There was a loaded Palladium Silver automatic twin car that came out of MN. originally and ended up in Florida. Pretty sure that car was sold to Legendary in Canada about 2 or 3 years ago. Last edited by Uncle Judge; 06-05-2015 at 03:01 PM. |

Funny I can remember a name and not something important from an hour ago.
I think it's clear now that everyone was referring to the car previously painted Black. I love Black Judges, but the variety's of color are out there that I don't see a need to focus on Black.

Beautiful car. Silver is a great color on almost any muscle car...really shows off the body lines.
Gotta love the look of a Ram Air IV engine compartment too. |

This is all I know--
I found the car in Hemmings Motor News and bought it in Lancaster, CA around 1985. I brought it to NC then. Lancaster is close to Edwards Air Force Base. I purchased it from a fellow named Dave Palmer who purchased it from an officer in the Air Force there. It was purchased from a used car lot in 1977 in Ohio, and the owner moved to FL, with the Air Force I believe. He, or a later owner, later went to Edwards Air Force Base with the car. I don't know these names now. I did speak to the owner that purchased it in Ohio. He painted it black. I never attempted to trace it back further as I doubted that I could. The Ohio DMV might be the only hope there. One interesting tid bit is that it had some B-1 Bomber primer on it as it was at Edwards Air Force Base outside when they were painting one of the B-1's. Dave Palmer's step dad worked at the maintenance shed at Edwards, and I got to go in there to see some of the planes. The guard looked at us for about 5 minutes before he let us in--quite disturbing--but there was some international tension at the time as I remember. I got to see several planes and climb into a F-111, which is the only fighter with an ash tray! I also walked along one of the wings of a jet that was being moved into the shed as this was required when moving a plane in or out to make sure nothing was damaged. Why they let a 26 year old from NC do this is odd, but who took this responsibility was not important--as long as someone did it. We later rode by the building that Tony in I Dream of Jeanie supposedly worked at. But this building is actually a NASA building as I was told. Lancaster, CA is a dry lake bed. All in all, it was a fantastic trip to Lancaster! Oh, and around 2000 (I think), some Yankee guy who drinks lots of beer and has a lot of old cars took the car to Wisconsin. This car has probably seen more of our country than I have.

Wow Michael. Great memory and story. I don't remember hearing all of that detail.
But the Yankee beer drinking part. Geez. That's how I am remembered? |

There are a lot worse things to be remembered for! I seem to remember some pretty fine amber you brought in the trunk of Craig's TA at the Nats a few years back...

Not sure now if you told me the seller had found the Build Sheet just before he advertised it , or if you had to influence him to hunt/find it , or if you had to play tomb raider and find it yourself when you got to the car . Refresh me/us - how did that play out back then ? For some reason seems like i remember it was initially listed as RamIV Judge Vert relying only on the facts it had Judge wing/decals and IV decals on hood . The balance is documented history of course. Epic NC kid goes to Cali story ! |

I had to think about it for a while to try to summarize everything. Baron, the ad in Hemmings did not say RAIV, but when I called, Dave Palmer told me that he found the build sheet on top of the gas tank. It had WW for the engine code. He was unsure since he had no documentation when listing the ad and the engine was gone. I was looking for an original RAIV car to use the over the counter RAIV that I had. It was just blind luck to find this one. The owner that bought it from the car lot in Ohio told me that the original engine was in the car then and that the engine was stolen when out of the car. I always wondered if that was true so I have always hesitated to repeat it. But I suppose it is possible that the original engine is out there somewhere--who knows.

Cool Stuff
Since you and Unka J. have spent all your monies from selling that old car by now --- how much did you pay/steal it for - in 1985 ? ima guess less than 8k , not counting plane tickets and transport. |

I don't usually give out any prices, but that's pretty close from what I remember.
