Had a '67 GTO some years back equipped with the standard 335 HP 400, TH400 and factory A/C. A 2.93 rear end was standard issue with that drivetrain/option combo.

Assuming they haven't been changed and it is the original rear end, probably 3.08's

Jeff,
Not where I can look yet., but I know my 65 shop manual has em listed on like the first 8 pages or so. Lists police, taxi, etc. Pm me your number and I'll send you a shot of whatever I can find when I get home in my 1967 shop manual. Merry Christmas Eve! |

2.93 is what I've run across under '67 base 400 4bbl cars.
2.56's under AC equipped 400 2bbl '67's.

My 67 convertible, A/C, Auto.4-bbl also had a 2.93 gear. It is stamped WD on the axle tube. Do you have the rear end? Here's a link that might help:

My experience in CA has been that the AC equipped '67 GTO's had a 2.93 as standard, and the non AC '67 GTO's had a 3.36. 2.56 and 3.08 were never 'standard' ratios.....they had to be ordered with the car. 2.93 with a TH400 in a '67 is a great gear ratio to drive with, these days.

My last two, 335 hp/turbo 400, 67's had 3.36 gears.

and they were factory non AC cars, I'd bet...
only way I've run across to get more gear than 2.93's in a factory equipped Auto AC '67 GTO was to have ordered the 400 HO engine, then the GTO received 3.23's.
