I had the exact same issue when i first installed my TKO 5 speed. Turns out the vendor (Silversport) was made aware of a defect with the clutch disc. It was missing something called a WAZE spring... They sent me a new clutch kit. I had to pull the trans out, but it completely resolved the issue. Never heard of such a thing.....but it was the missing WAZE spring in my clutch disc, was told there was bad batch from the vendor.

You'll have trouble with that disk on the left that does not have the "marcel" wiggle spring between the friction disks. Racing type clutch disks have minimal or NO marcel. Great if you're dumping the clutch in a race. Billk

I may have missed it, but have you eliminated u-joints and/or a slightly twisted driveshaft? Loose joints or joints that are out of phase can cause a shudder.

^^ +2. Flywheel needs to be ground / surfaced correctly.

I did not see any discoloration or hard spots on the flywheel after cleaning it up.
How was the bearing/ bushing in the flywheel? Had one Open up from input shaft, wobbled it bigger and it looked ok to the eye but would cause this issue . Think it was initially caused by a bad input shaft bearing. Can’t remember been a long long time .

I’ve run sintered iron, sintered bronze, all kinds of harsh clutches never had that issue from a clutch.
