I'm not sure. I just know I have set like the ones in the pic. I think mine came off a '66 and I know I've seen some vintage shots of '66 models wearing those. I found this site but I don't think it's necessarily complete.

This is my mom coming from picking up my little brother from school in Arcadia, CA. Not sure of the year but in a couple of other pictures the smog can be seen as thick. Probably prior to 1970.

Not to leave my dad out of the fun. Here he is with his 65 GTO in Arcadia, CA. Bought the car new in Rosenberg, TX. We still have this car today in custody of my daughter who changed the color to blue gray.

Looks like a Post Coupe with Parchment color interior and tie down straps for the hood? Road racing with 4 wheel drum brakes, wow!

Man, the '66 old-photo thread didn't come up with nearly the number of personal photos that this one did. Great pics!

You're welcome. There was another site that was much more complete but it didn't come up in the search. It had covers all the way up through the '80s at least.
The '66 cover shown on that page isn't familiar to me at all, at first glance anyway. They are quite similar to the '65 though. I'll have to dig mine out.

They are so similar in appearance that the ones I have may very well be the '66 version. I 'recall' the person that gave them to me saying they came from a '66 Tempest.
Slob4, that looks like a solid project to me.

Default Major Nelson

and I recall the episode where that car was driven over curbs and into a fence. I think Jeanne was learning how to drive.
